Your future duties and responsibilities:

As a Senior Business Consultant, you will work closely with senior organizational leaders to articulate and solve key business problems using the variety of tools and methods you have in your toolbox. You will plan, coordinate and lead client engagements and have a proven track record of doing this with other organizations. Additionally, you know how important people are to ensuring that an organization can change successfully and come well-versed in change management tools and methodologies.
Primary responsibilities
• Develop and implement strategies and plans to address client challenges;
• Act as a trusted advisor to leaders as you deliver projects across client organizations;
• Creatively problem solve to address risks and challenges to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget and to the expectations of your clients;
• Engage and communicate effectively at all levels of the organization so project outcomes are successfully implemented;
• Ensure that the people side of change is considered in your engagements by providing change management leadership, tools and methodologies;
• Engage in business development activities by working with clients to identify other areas where we can partner with them to drive business value;
• Implement new tools and practices with the other members of the business consulting team that you have found highly effective in your client engagements.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, or relevant field with an excellent academic record;
• 5+ years of consulting experience, either for a private consulting firm or in an internal consulting service capacity;
• Proven track record of leading teams using your ability to influence rather than authority;
• Can point to specific strategies that you led the development of that have been implemented at other organizations;
• Experience creating change strategies and plans, including stakeholder analysis, risk management and mitigation;
• Facilitation experience, with ability to design and implement working sessions to uncover solutions across multiple partners and competing initiatives;
• Solid understanding of project management methodology and project lifecycles;
• Proficient with Microsoft products, including Excel, Project, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint;
• Experience working with BC government, especially the Ministry of Health or Health related government agencies would be an asset.
Desired Certifications:
• PROSCI or other equivalent change management certification;
