About the team

The Roku APPS team is a group of highly skilled technologists that builds innovative platform products and services that enable over 100M+ users and streaming devices. We connect users to the streaming content they love and enable content publishers to build and monetise large audiences. We work on a range of critical services that power the Roku eco-system, including device and account setup, identity, authentication, channel distribution to devices, and channel publishing.

About the role

At the Ads Customer Interfaces team, we are dedicated to creating a best-in-class user experience for both internal and external advertising products. Our mission is to delight users and simplify their tasks through innovative and seamless solutions. We develop sophisticated full-stack web applications that encompass the UI, services, and data layers, providing a unified interface for Roku's suite of advertising products. We are on the lookout for seasoned full-stack engineers to help us realize this mission. As a key member of our team, you will leverage your expertise in web frameworks, microservices, microsites development, data management, infrastructure, and CI/CD pipelines to make a tangible impact. What You’ll Be Doing:

• Design, develop, and deliver enterprise-grade high-quality web applications
• Develop new features while constantly working to improve usability, quality, performance, and scalability
• Collaborate as a part of a high-functioning team of UX designers, software engineers, and product managers
• Exhibit a deep problem-solving mindset to tackle complex issues impacting our users effectively
• Flexible to shift focus between UI and backend development as needed by initiatives
• Deliver constant value to the business in a highly agile team focused on continuous deployment
• Systems debugging, performance measurement, and optimization for product operations

We’re Excited If You Have:

• Bachelors or Masters in computer science or a related quantitative discipline
• 5+ years of experience with great coding skills and strong software development experience in React, Node.js, and TypeScript technologies
• Experience with web design patterns such as MVC, SPA, Responsive Design, and Microsites
• Experience with distributed caching, SQL/NoSQL, and strong knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and OOP
• Ability to work with complex web applications, custom web frameworks, and infrastructure like AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, and Terraform
• Ad tech background is a plus
