Position Description:

The project lead role at CGI Federal is a senior-level position responsible for directing the performance and delivery of a project within a large-scale Federal government contract. The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership and management skills, with experience leading and developing project teams. They should be able to think on their feet, proactively identify and address client challenges, and bring innovative ideas to their projects. The project lead will act as the primary customer contact on status and performance, ensuring customer satisfaction and continued business.
This position is located in our Lafayette, LA office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

o Directing project performance and delivery within the EPA ITED project
o Leading and developing project teams to achieve project goals
o Building and nurturing strategic relationships with clients and project stakeholders
o Proactively identifying and addressing client challenges to ensure project success
o Bringing innovative solutions and ideas to enhance project outcomes
o Serving as the primary point of contact for clients on project status and performance
o Allocate and manage project resources, including team members, equipment, and budget.
o Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation plans.
o Ensure project milestones and deliverables are met according to schedule.
o Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among project team members.
o Provide regular project status updates to stakeholders and senior management.
o Conduct project reviews and lessons learned sessions to identify areas for improvement.
• Team Leadership:
o Lead and motivate project team members to achieve project goals and objectives.
o Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members, ensuring clear expectations and accountability.
o Foster a collaborative and positive team environment, promoting open communication and knowledge sharing.
o Provide guidance and support to team members, resolving conflicts and addressing any performance issues.
o Mentor and develop team members, promoting continuous learning and professional growth.
Stakeholder Management:
o Establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring their needs and expectations are understood and addressed.
o Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements and priorities.
o Communicate project progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders in a clear and timely manner.
o Manage stakeholder expectations and provide regular updates on project status and deliverables.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

o Bachelor's degree in project management, business administration, or a related field.
o Ń years of experience as a Project Lead or similar role.
o Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices.
o Excellent leadership and team management skills.
o Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
o Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
o Experience in managing projects within budget and meeting project deadlines.
o Proficiency in project management tools and software.
o Knowledge of SDLC, Agile development, and functional analysis
o Technical background or comfort working in a highly technical environment
Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:
o Certification in project management (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
o Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification
o Master's degree
o ITIL certification
CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and license and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $77,200.00 - $168,900.00.
