PURPOSE OF POSITION

Responsible for strengthening the position of our innovative portfolio through the exchange of scientific value propositions with payers and health decision-makers.

The role will be key in providing value proposition and pharmaeconomic support, managing evidence-based objections, scientific awareness and generating competitive intelligence that will directly influence market access strategies.
Serve as a field-based extension of the Market Access Strategic manager. He/She will work in synergy with the commercial KAMs, bringing insights from key accounts payers/auditors perspective on products and implementing strategies developed in order to foster access and adoption of Takeda ́s products.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Understand customer needs to develop and deliver greater value and position ourselves as the preferred partner
  • Provide insights from the field to the Strategic Manager, in order to build the strategy and prioritization of the different products
  • Supports commercial KAMs in their interaction with accounts being responsible for the value proposition discussion with medical auditors.
  • Works in synergy with the KAM to facilitate access and adoption of new treatments.
  • Supports Access Strategic manager in defining and executing Product level strategy for Market Access
  • Works together with different franchises to foster access in key accounts, core products, and new launches.
  • Establishes credible and long-lasting professional relationships and has personal impact through engaging respectfully and professionally
  • Respond effectively o payers/auditors requests for products objections.
  • Value Proposition Training: Support in training KAMs and other key roles in articulating the value of our products.
  • Evidence-Based Support: Provide comprehensive, evidence-based information and resources to support the clinical and economic benefits of the products, ensuring alignment with the latest scientific research and clinical guidelines.

Critical business expertise

What depth and breadth of expertise is required to be successful in the job? What level of mental and analytical skills is required to perform this job?

  • Five years in pharmaceutical Industry
  • Experience in a similar position for 2 years (desirable)
  • Experience working in a drug development environment with the knowledge and ability to work with technical experts
  • Strong understanding of area markets and payor environment (e.g. HTA model, including coverage and reimbursement, pricing and contracting, formulary management, HTA and payment policy)
  • Experience with products sold through reimbursement segments

  • Communication and Negotiation: Excellent presentation and negotiation skills with the ability to communicate scientific complexities clearly.
  • Analysis and Discernment: Ability to analyze complex situations and discern critical issues.

  • Results Orientation: Sense of urgency and strong orientation towards results.
  • Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
