Director of Product, Platforms & Growth

Job Description

We are seeking a Director of Product to lead our Product Platform team, focusing on product-led growth, course distribution, and advancing several AI and platform initiatives. You and your team will define the vision and roadmap for these key areas, driving substantial growth and impact. You will work closely with our authoring and collaboration product teams as well as partners across design, engineering, data, and marketing. We embrace the empowered product team model, and your coaching and strategic direction will provide the clarity and autonomy needed to define outcomes and deliver customer and business value. You will bring to the team solid knowledge in areas like product-led growth, platform product for both internal and external partners, and a high bar for our customer experience to better serve and expand our addressable market.

What you'll do:

• Spearhead the development and execution of our platform’s roadmap,leveraging AI where possible to enhance our product-led growth and course distribution capabilities.
• Adopt a metrics-driven approach to drive product and business decisions through both iterative experimentation and new product offerings.
• Partner closely with marketing and sales teams to drive product adoption, expand our product reach, improve customer engagement, and accelerate revenue growth.
• Build, coach, and develop a world-class team of product talent while upholding Articulate’s values of diversity and inclusion, consistent with our Human-Centered Organization framework.
• Engage and communicate effectively with every user group (customers, learners, business partners) and create strong feedback cycles in the product development process through clear customer-centric and strategy-aligned direction.
• Foster a strong product management culture through processes and best practices, partnering with engineering, design, and other teams to deliver exceptional products on time while modeling team transparency and accountability.

What you should have:

• 7+ years of experience as a product manager, including at least 3 years managing and hiring teams.
• A strong background in B2B product-led growth, ideally with a creator tool component.
• Experience in internal platform product management, including deep knowledge of back-office areas like orchestration, account management, and subscription management.
• Experience in external platform product management, including expertise in the technical, operational, and strategic aspects of partnership dynamics.
• A data and metrics-driven mindset, with a clear understanding of what success looks like, how to measure it, and how to foster an outcome-driven organization.
• A proven ability to drive adoption and expansion while striving for a simple, beautiful, and elegant user experience that feels like magic to the customer.
• Experience in leading zero to one initiatives within a larger organization.

Nice to haves:

• Experience in Gen AI product development.
• Experience in leading internationalization efforts for a mature product.
• Expertise or previous experience in Learning & Development, HR Tech, or the Creator space.

$201,000 - $301,400 a year The pay range for this position is $201,000 to $301,400 for all US locations.
