Our commitment to providing an exceptional user experience drives our connection to customers, and we're seeking an experienced Sr UX Researcher I to help drive our UX research efforts and elevate the user-centricity of our products. This pivotal role will sit within the Product Design organization, closely collaborating with product designers, product management partners, and engineers while also presenting research findings and proposals to stakeholders and executive leadership. Our ideal candidate will take a strategic and hands-on role in helping to shape our user experience research initiatives and approach. Your depth of expertise and insights will directly influence the development of user-centered products that drive customer satisfaction and fuel business growth. You lead by example and get excited about helping to build new processes with a team. Navigating ambiguity is a strong suit, and you deeply value collaboration using the three-legged stool product development model. You’re passionate about enabling customers with meaningful, self-aware feature work and fostering an internal creative culture of collaboration, positivity, and growth.

What You'll Do:

    • Strategic Partnership:
    • Forge a strong partnership with product management, design & engineering to deeply understand product objectives, user needs, and business goals
    • Develop research strategies that meaningfully guide product roadmaps.
    • User-centered Insights
    • Lead all phases of the user research process, including user recruitment, study design, data collection, analysis, and reporting with minimal support and guidance.
    • Utilize various qualitative and quantitative research methods to conduct foundational and evaluative research throughout the product development lifecycle & translate findings into actionable recommendations for design and development.
    • Use a range of methods such as usability testing, interviews, surveys , card sorts,personas, journey mapping, & the jobs-to-be-done framework to uncover profound user insights.
    • Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Present research findings, insights, and proposals to stakeholders across various levels, including executive leadership.
    • Advocate for the value of UX research in shaping product direction.
    • Drive Awareness & Innovation:
    • Keep abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, technologies in UX research, and advancements in tooling, incorporating relevant improvements into our work to stay at the forefront of design innovation.
    • Identify opportunities for innovation and create alignment among teams, find moments of delight in which we can create better user engagement.
    • Collaborate with the Holistic Design Team:
    • Collaborate with other members of the design team in product and brand to create alignment around research and fuel meaningful, aware design problem-solving.
    • Proactively help shape our processes and approach to good design built on research while fostering a culture of collaboration, feedback, and openness to bring great work to life.
    • Help Build, Shape & Grow UX Research:
    • Collaborate closely with other UX researchers to build out & improve best practices, templates & UX research processes.
    • Evangelize & educate others on the importance of UX research throughout the organization. Drive awareness and adoption of research-driven decision-making.

What You Should Have:

    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Psychology, User Experience Design, or a related field.
    • 5-8 years of experience in UX research, with a proven track record of leading impactful research initiatives in a fast-paced, product-led SaaS environment.
    • Proficiency in Figma and UX research tools.
    • Expertise in a broad range of UX research methodologies, including usability testing, user interviews, surveys, and data analysis.
    • Demonstrated ability to translate complex research findings into actionable insights for design and product teams.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to present research to stakeholders and executive leadership.
    • Collaborative mindset and comfortable working effectively in cross-functional teams.
    • Exceptional analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
    • Understanding of user-centered design principles and user experience best practicesGreat team player, highly self-motivated. Ability to collaborate closely with copywriters, product designers, product managers, and engineers.
    • Resilient , reliable, and optimistic.
$119,000 - $178,400 a year The pay range for this position is $119,000 to $178,400 for all US locations. Articulate takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.
