Levels we're hiring for: Engineer, Sr. Engineer, Staff Engineer

Teams Hiring: Credit Card, Mone y, Underwriting, Central Services, Student Loans

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our QA team. This individual should thrive in a self-driven environment with the ability to execute tasks with limited supervision.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

Customer advocate, helping to ensure that we are delivering the best experience possible to our members
Work with product management and engineering to define, refine and execute software testing to ensure the delivery of high quality product components
Demonstrated experience writing test plans and test cases and have a quality mindset
Create detailed defect reports and work with developers to narrow down the root cause of issues
Knowledge of JIRA, TestRail, Docker, Bash, Postman, SQL, PostgreSQL, Git, and Java a plus

Requirements:*

Minimum of 1+ years of experience in software quality assurance or related degree
Strong attention to details
Self-motivated with strong decision-making skills
Superior written and verbal communication skills
Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment
Knowledge of test process, testing techniques and software test tools
Ability to work with Development team to understand the technical details of new features
Ability to work with Product team to understand the acceptance criteria for new features
Passionate about influencing product quality
Strong logical & problem solving skills

*Positions which are Senior and above have greater experience requirements and greater expectations of competence
