SUMMARY

Twitter is looking for an experienced Accounting Business Systems Manager to support the Order to Cash (OTC) team to perform and lead technology-related activities and projects within the Accounting department. The successful candidate will serve as an OTC Accounting department liaison to the IT, Sales Ops, Sales Finance, and Project Management Office (“PMO”) providing accounting-focused business analysis, expertise and guidance. The candidate should also ensure the design and development of systems meet business requirements and the finance wide strategy.

The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of combined experience in OTC Accounting and business systems such as Salesforce (SFDC), Apttus, and Oracle from public companies. Preferably some experience at a saas or social media company.

Seeking a self-starter, forward-thinking, puzzle-solving, inspiring team member to challenge the status quo and apply advanced technology to streamline data flows and drive efficiency. This role requires excellent communication, organization, ability to manage and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams while maintaining accountability, and have a continuous process improvement mindset.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Working alongside the Senior Business Systems Manager to support OTC-related aspect of Oracle and related systems such as SFDC, Apttus.

Perform process analysis in the areas of Sales Order Processing / Pricing / Contracts / Ad Serve / Revenue Recognition / Billing / Invoicing (including Cash Application) / Returns with a thorough understanding of the business process enabled by these components. Able to quickly digest complex manual processes and identify automation opportunities.

Drive end-to-end OTC & IT enhancement process. Able to challenge the status quo of enhancement requests and help end users to define clear and holistic business requirements. Get a clear alignment between IT solutions and business requirements.

Drive UAT process, and put together UAT scope and test script. Support OTC team in testing; perform user acceptance testing on new and changed functionality if needed.

Track enhancements, issues and pain-points to improve OTC operational processes.

Perform routine month-end system processes for OTC team, and maintain workflows in Alteryx and Tableau.

Understand objectives, processes and the technology environment within OTC. Assist in designing, managing, and overseeing the process to identify and prioritize accounting technology needs.

Coordinate with accounting functions and systems to ensure thorough and accurate financials that comply with GAAP and meet all external compliance requirements.

Define, implement, and support accounting reporting strategies (addressing internal and external reporting and static and ad hoc reporting needs) to ensure efficient and effective use of reporting tools and technologies.

Drive ad hoc project/enhancements and serve as a back-up in other accounting system area as needed (such as Record to Report)

QUALIFICATIONS

5+ years of relevant experience in the area of OTC and a BS degree in Finance, Accounting, or other closely related fields.

Experience with Oracle ERP, SFDC, Apttus, Alteryx, and Tableau a big plus.

Strong finance functional expertise, business process knowledge, and understanding of GAAP and SOX 404 compliance.

Effective communication skills - including the capability to listen to the needs of others, research and comprehend complex matters, articulate issues in a clear and concise manner, and present findings as well as recommendations in both oral and written presentations.

Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, and experience applying these skills to resolve operational accounting process and system issues.

Strong project management skills and an ability to work well with all levels of an organization.

Superb attention to detail and ability to deliver results in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
