Measurement Data Scientist (SF)

As a Data Scientist for Ads Measurement in the Partners org you will work on projects to demonstrate and create a generalizable value of the Pinterest platform to Partners. You will use various scientific techniques to conduct research and test both internally and externally to help advertisers get the most out of Pinterest and meet their business goals.

What you’ll do :

• Work on a broad range of topics to efficiently measure and improve ad effectiveness for advertisers
• Use various statistical methods and/or machine learning algorithms to build rigorous and effective Partner-facing solutions
• Work cross-functionally with business stakeholders, product, and engineering to test experimentally and implement the research findings
• Participate actively as a statistical and technical consultant for the analytics community at Pinterest

What we’re looking for :

• Advanced degree in a quantitative field with 2+ years of industry experience in a quantitative field
• Has proven track record of applying scientific methods to solve real-world problems using big data
• Strong knowledge in various statistical methods and/or machine learning
• Expertise in database usage (SQL, Hive), and statistical programming (Python, R)
• Ability to work cross-functionally and collaborate effectively
