• Mentor and coach a team of engineers tasked with delivering awesome products.
• Develop a vision for the team, working cross-functionally with product managers, UX designers, and our developer community.
• Ensure the team meets our commitments to ship polished software, clearly communicating across the product team and company regarding key landmarks or any time there are threats to our commitments.
• Manage responsibilities and ensure the team is effectively delivering a highly available service to customers.
• Represent the team at conferences or meetups internally and externally, as well as on campus recruiting events for engineering.
• Help build a diverse team while promoting a collaborative and inclusive environment.

What you should have:

• BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years of serving in an engineering management or technical leadership role.
• Drive to help engineers develop new skills and advance in their careers. You don’t shy away from performance conversations and you recognize the relationship between objective feedback and career growth.
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts and share your knowledge with diverse audiences both internally and externally.
• The ability to contemplate several, and often conflicting, constraints and make rapid decisions.
• You shine when building roadmaps and can develop a long-term team vision in partnership with other teams across Podium. You can then be accountable for driving project execution.
