There is no challenge we can’t turn into opportunity. Our work depends on a Manager on Duty (MOD) - Lead Network Engineer joining our team to support JSP-ETM activities in Arlington, VA.

The MOD is responsible for ensuring the transport segment of the network is being monitored, maintained and is operating as designed during their shift. The MOD also manages personnel and the daily activities assigned to the Service Restoral Team. The MOD has several responsibilities including, but not limited to:

• Monitoring and assigning Remedy tickets and ensuring tickets are being resolved within the established Service Level Agreement (SLA).
• Create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Shift Reports.
• Handle all escalations.
• Provide Tier 3 support to the Network Operations Center (NOC).
• Support local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN).
• Schedules authorized outages to implement proposed solutions.
• Analyzes and monitor network topologies.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting of routers and switches.
• May work odd hours to support facility maintenance actions to minimize customer impact.
• Other duties as assigned

This position will work rotating shifts of:

Swing Shift:

Sunday – Thursday 2:00pm to 10:30pm and

Tuesday – Saturday 2:00pm to 10:30pm

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance or higher
• Must meet DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification requirements (Security+ CE, CCNA or higher)
• 5+ years of directly related experience in network administration including management/lead experience
• Hands-on experience with the Network Administration data and voice communications networks

Computing environment certification highly desirable.
