About the Role

Our operations team is growing and we are looking for Autonomous Vehicle Operators to join us. In this role you will be responsible for operating our autonomous test vehicles that run proprietary software and hardware.

Professionalism, care, and personal accountability are significant attributes as you will be expected to adhere to the culture of safety and standards of conduct exemplified by the team. You will have to pass a number of training checkpoints both in and out of the vehicle.

About the Work

• You will safely operate our autonomous vehicles and robots up to 8 hours a day, 5-6 days a week
• You will collaborate closely with our talented software & hardware engineers, as well as software operations specialists to advance our technologies and internal workflows, and ultimately help craft our product roadmap
• Utilize proprietary software to collect data and troubleshoot in a variety of real world situations, while simultaneously providing detailed and accurate feedback to our engineers
• You will occasionally interact with members of the public to educate them on autonomous vehicle technologies and behaviors

About You

• You have experience operating an Autonomous Vehicle with a current or previous AVT Permit
• You possess a valid US driver's license with at least 5 years of driving experience
• You have a clean driving record and pass a criminal background check
• You are responsible, reliable and detail-oriented
• You are able to work independently or in small groups and for periods without direct supervision
• You have advanced communication skills (written and verbal)
• You are self-driven and have experience working in a start-up or dynamic environments or the DNA to thrive in one
• You are an outstanding collaborator and excellent teammate
• You are willing to travel as needed (up to 35% - domestic travel)
• You are flexible and willing to work different shifts including early AM, nights, and weekends
