Security Engineering Intern (Summer 2020)

ABOUT THE ROLE

The security engineering internship program allows college juniors to tackle a wide variety of technical tasks throughout OneLogin’s stack and contribute in the execution and delivery of a creating secure platform for our clients. You will be a key contributor on a small, collaborative team - we don’t want our interns to sit on the sidelines and enjoy the view-- we want you to change the way our customers connect their business to the world! We aim to curate a robust learning experience through the work, and help you connect with new friends & mentors, and build the foundation of a strong professional network.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Gather cutting-edge expertise in securing implementations of the latest software technology platforms and automating their analysis using code analysis tools
• Contribute to test-coverage across multiple projects
• Address bugs and suggest improvements
• Contribute to new features in collaboration with your mentor
• Go through code reviews and progress evaluations
• Participate in release and QE process
• Contribute to documentation

ABOUT YOU

• Currently enrolled in a CS degree program, finishing your junior year
• GPA of 3.0 or higher
• Good communicator and team member
• Solid foundation in CS concepts
• Experience writing working code in the context of a full-stack application
• Familiarity with SQL, front-end framework of choice, MVC frameworks, JS and Ruby
• Willingness to pick up frameworks and languages that you do not know

SKILLS YOU WILL LEARN

• Understanding the security and identity management space
• Understanding security best practices
• Gain code rigor and experience with code reviews
• Learn how to operate within an engineering team
• Learn about test automation and release process
• Gain knowledge about microservice infrastructure and modern deployment practices
