Overview

LogMeIn is growing and looking for an inspiring and innovative Scrum Master and Agile Coach. You will be working with our development teams, to inspire them to grow and deliver, to help us achieve organizational agility through training, coaching, and encouraging a culture of experimentation and learning. The ideal candidate will be a true leader, seasoned in providing dynamic and innovative coaching for various engineering teams.

Responsibilities

  • Enable team productivity as a servant/leader;
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to remove team impediments;
  • Coach teams where Agile principles may not yet be fully understood or adopted, and encourage regular discipline and readiness;
  • Facilitate team meetings and Scrum events;
  • Build team cohesion and foster open and honest team communication;
  • Facilitate estimation, forecasting and outward coordination and communication on behalf of your teams;
  • Provide guidance to teams on user story and acceptance criteria development and management, including story slicing, story mapping and backlog management;
  • Act as Agile Coach/Scrum Master for multiple teams;
  • Collect and share relevant metrics to help teams make appropriate decisions and necessary changes;
  • Commitment to helping team members succeed and excel in a safe environment that fosters continuous improvements to increase team productivity and deliverable quality;
  • Coach teams toward execution and delivery of planned sprint work and mentor and guide teams to avoid over or under plan;
  • Assist the Product Owner to keep the story backlog effectively groomed and prioritized;
  • Provide guidance to teams on user story and acceptance criteria development and management.

Qualifications

  • Willing and determined to learn quickly, function with limited supervision, solve issues, and stay in close communication with teams;
  • Willing to work in ambiguity;
  • 10+ Years of product, project, or technical leadership in a software development environment;
  • 5+ Years as a dedicated Scrum Master or Agile Coach with proven experience delivering working software;
  • Extensive experience using and coaching on estimation, user story writing and sizing, retrospectives, and other Agile techniques;
  • Strong understanding of the Scrum/Agile events: Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective;
  • Experience with the use and configuration of one or more Agile management tools, such as Jira, VersionOne or Rally;
  • Experience with a variety of other Agile approaches and concepts, such as Kanban, Lean, XP, and continuous delivery;
  • Experience with Agile in multi-team organizations is key;
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, facilitation, and coaching skills - Ability to productively converse with business stakeholders and engineers alike;
  • Experience working with geographically dispersed team;
  • Scrum Master certification is an asset;
  • Fluent in both English and French.
