Overview

Fairview Health Services is looking for a Radiologic Technologist based out of the Fairview Clinic – North Branch in North Branch, Minnesota and our location in Pine City.. This position is approved for 60 hours every two weeks and is benefit eligible. This position will require that you are able to work every other weekend. Typical scheudle will likely be 7 days on 7 days off including two 12 hours shifts.

Responsibilities/Job Description

The Clinic Radiologic Technologist functions independently based on the boundaries of professional practice in performing all major work responsibilities. The Technologist provides services to patients and physicians through the creation of high quality diagnostic imaging, provides quality age-appropriate patient care according to established standards of practice, and works collaboratively with all members of the health care team. The technologist is responsible for performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements (ARRT).

  • Maintains and prioritizes work to achieve optimal patient outcomes
  • Performs excellent patient care
  • Performs examinations
  • Identifies relevant data from images accurately
  • Uses appropriate communication skills to meet patient/family, and other customer needs.
  • Communicates pertinent data clearly to the appropriate health care professional
  • Participates in creating a culture of patient safety
  • Demonstrates knowledge of emergency preparedness
  • Verify patient identification and documentation
  • Communicate with and educate patient regarding pertinent information during all aspects of exam
  • Achieves quality diagnostic images through correct patient positioning and use of technical factors according to protocol

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Technical Certificate in Radiology or Associated Degree in Radiology
  • Current Registration with American Registry Radiologic Technology
  • BLS Certification

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1 – 3 years of Radiologic Technologist expertise
  • ISCD Certification for Bone Densitometry preferred

Other Required Skills

  • Understanding of current Minnesota Department of Health Regulations.
  • Knowledge of quality control and safety standards.
  • Previous ambulatory care experience preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to work at other sites preferred.
