Overview

LogMeIn is looking for a talented Manager who will help support our industry leading Web Conferencing product, GoToMeeting (G2M). This role will be aligned to our Unified Communications & Collaboration (UCC) business unit and will lead and manage a team of 6 DevOps engineers focused on helping our customers achieve their business goals by maintaining the uptime and reliability of our GoToMeeting product. The team will manage all aspect of the product, including deployments, monitoring, troubleshooting and maintenance. Collaborating with other teams within LogMeIn will be critical to the success of this role.

The ideal candidate is someone with a strong background in DevOps and/or software engineering and management of teams. The candidate must be highly motivated, possess outstanding communication skills and be willing to work in a fast-paced, dynamic and growing environment. The Manager of DevOps team draws on his or her experience when coaching direct reports, analyzing data, evaluating workflow processes and working with various operational tool sets. This position reports to the Sr Director, DevOps and Real Time Communication.

Responsibilities

Responsible for ensuring the GoToMeeting DevOps team is hitting targets which are positively impacting both internal & external LogMeIn customers.

• Work closely with Product & Engineering leadership to ensure teams coordinate efforts effectively
• Responsible for hiring, training and ramp-up of new team members
• Responsible for coaching, performance management, and career development of the team
• Contributes to the development of and implementation of LogMeIn’s GoToMeeting product
• Implements and maintains best practices related to DevOps & software engineering
• Leverages experts across the business to ensure the team is up to date on both product functionality and current procedures
• Ensure delivery of GoToMeeting with high availability and on-demand scalability

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or comparable experience
• 2+ years of management experience
• 5+ years of experience in DevOps/software engineering
• Influential strategic thinker and problem solver
• Exceptional attention to detail. Smart, thorough, and able to work independently
• Personable; able to work as a member of small team and to interact with peers and internal customers
• Proven ability to lead a team in all areas of DevOps & software lifecycle
• Strong work ethic, desire to learn and be challenged, self-driven and motivated
• Goal-oriented with an ability to create fun, team building exercises, develop a team culture and drive performance
• Innovative with an ability to sell ideas internally in order to improve processes throughout the organization
• Experience in leading change as a manager
• Knowledge of deploying and maintaining application in private & public clouds (AWS, Azure, Google) a plus
• Knowledge of web conferencing & RTC technologies (Real Time Communications: WebRTC, communication protocols, mobile App development) a plus
