Job Description

Founded as the first-to-market Instagram scheduler in 2014, Later (formerly Latergramme) has grown from a simple Instagram tool to the #1 visual marketing platform for Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest. Now with over 2 million users globally, Later is a member of the Instagram Partner Program and a Pinterest Marketing Partner.

We believe that social media has become a visual experience, and we’ve designed our platform to help you visually plan and schedule your photo and video content.

Later helps streamline your social media strategy so you can set yourself up for more sales and success. Our features focus on visual scheduling, media management, marketing and analytics. Here at Later, our goal is to simplify Instagram marketing and make it accessible for all businesses.

Our Values

Our core cultural values are manifested in our practices and processes every day. We highly value transparency and fairness in everything we do. We look for people who like to move quickly, are ambitious yet humble and have a great sense of humour. If you have a mischievous spark of fun, that’s even better.

You have

  • A natural tendency to take initiative, achieve results and generally #GSD.
  • A desire to constantly stay organized and create efficiency using technology, bringing order to chaos and uncertainty.
  • Teamwork is your middle name. You want to brainstorm with the best of them and are continually looking for ways to do it better.
  • A humbleness to recognize that sometimes you’ll need to apologize and admit mistakes (we’re all human after all!)
  • Understand and work well in startup culture - be able and willing to take on all sorts of tasks and responsibilities.

We list our values and beliefs first because they are non-negotiable; if you're still reading then check out some of the responsibilities you will own.

What we’re looking for: Later is looking for a creative and strategic product marketer to join our global marketing team. In partnership with our Product, Marketing and Customer teams, you'll become a key member of the Product Marketing team by helping shape, validate, and strengthen various functions such as messaging, positioning, thought leadership, and go-to-market strategy--bringing new features to market as well as driving awareness and engagement at scale.

As the Product Marketing Associate, you will work between multiple teams--Product, Engineering, Customer Success and Marketing-- to synthesize insights and priorities across the funnel that will help drive our positioning and go-to-market strategy. Your tactical and creative mindset will help influence the product strategy. You will help define the best route to bring our product and features to our customers, while also creating assets to inform and educate that embody the Later voice and help foster long term relationships with customers. The Later HQ is located in Vancouver, Canada, but you will be joining a remote global marketing team of 12+, so we’re looking for someone that work autonomously but also great at team communication. Responsibilities:

  • Support output of product messaging, positioning, overall go-to-market strategy and planning
  • Be an expert on our competitive landscape, marketplace and technology.
  • Create and execute effective and innovative strategies and marketing plans that drive awareness, engagement and product adoption.
  • Support the Go-to-Market strategy for new products and features, executing releases and campaigns, collaborating with Content, Creative, Growth and Customer teams.
  • Develop assets that inform and educate customers on our features while also positioning solutions to the problems they’re facing. E.g. blogs, case studies, reports.
  • Ensure complete, timely and accurate communication, particularly around release schedules, between Product and Marketing teams.
  • Develop a deep knowledge of our customers to help inform product messaging and feature prioritization.
  • Leverage data and insights to make recommendations that drive our customer and marketing objectives.

What we're looking for:

  • 2 years+ product marketing experience (or 4+ years marketing experience)
  • Someone who is capable of adapting to and embracing change. A want to experiment and think outside the box
  • An experienced cross-functional collaborator and communicato r. Has worked with product, engineering, growth, and content teams.
  • Experience writing educational and conversion focused copy and content.
  • A candidate that is practical and future-facing. You have an ability to focus on the here and now while also looking ahead.
  • Experience with data analysis and insights. An ability to draw conclusions and make recommendations from data sets. (Mixpanel or Amplitude experience is a plus)
  • A hardworking and tenacious attitude, not afraid to get stuck into tasks both big and small
  • An excellent problem solver. A want to find efficiencies and optimize without having to be asked.

Why Choose Later:

Located near downtown Vancouver, in Chinatown, Later is pleased to offer all our employees a competitive salary, a chance to participate in the success of the company through equity, medical and dental benefits and a wellness program.

If you think you might be a great fit with our team, we’d love to hear from you.
