POSITION OVERVIEW

A rapidly growing, entrepreneurial technology company, Building 36, is seeking an Training Content Development Lead to join the Building 36 Team. The Training Content Development Lead is responsible for providing product, technical, and sales training on Building 36 products & services to external partners. The ideal candidate has experience designing and developing engaging training content with a strong interest in smart home technology. They are well-spoken and enthusiastic, enjoy building business relationships, and excel in an ever-changing dynamic environment.

Location Preference: Preference for position to be based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota or Tysons, Virginia

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own and develop engaging training content end to end, for our external partners on Building 36 solutions in the form of PowerPoint presentations, training videos and webinar training content
  • Facilitate technical product and sales training on all Building 36 products & services to partners through onsite, webinar and pre-recorded seminars
  • Increase engagement and sales of Building 36 products and services to new and existing partners
  • Continuously gather feedback and perform needs assessments with internal & external stakeholders to determine training requirements
  • Collaborate with internal teams to stay up to date with new Building 36 product release features
  • Partner with sales and marketing teams to aid in increasing partner engagement
  • Design and apply assessment tools to measure training effectiveness.
  • Represent Building 36 at various trade shows, conferences and industry events (as needed)

REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years of experience developing content and training materials as well as facilitating training sessions
  • Well versed in instructional design
  • Highly proficient in creating engaging PowerPoint Presentations and instructional videos
  • Experience in audio/video creation
  • Knowledge of training methodologies and competency assessment
  • Familiarity with working with multiple cross-functional partners
  • Works effectively in a fast paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong communication and writing skills
  • Strong people skills; natural customer service orientation and disposition
  • Bachelors degree in relevant study
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time

Preferred:

  • Experience working with external clients preferred
  • Experience working with or using home security, home automation and HVAC automation products highly preferred
