We’re growing fast so we’re looking for a Software Engineer to join our Data Science team!

As a software engineer in this team, you will be responsible to work on top and around the trained models that are developed by the Machine Learning Engineers of the team. The technology stack consists of Python, Node and Java apps based on PostgreSQL, MongoDB and Elasticsearch databases, exposed by RabbitMQ, Kafka, REST APIs and deployed on GKE of Google Cloud. We are proud of our strong engineering culture and the dogged emphasis on customer-centric design. Agile methodology and test-driven development are not things we read about in blogs, it's what we do every day!

• A minimum of two years of full-time industry experience developing and maintaining software systems in production (preferably using Python)
• A strong background in relational database theory and excellent knowledge of Relational Databases (Postgres, MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle)
• Familiarity with NoSQL storages (Elastic, MongoDB, Redis, etc)
• Experience with Message Brokers (RabbitMQ, Kafka, etc)
• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
• A firm grasp of multi-threading, object-oriented design and asynchronous programming
• Skilled in testing (unit/integration/contract)

Extra credits will be given to candidates with:

• Experience with Google Cloud, AWS and Kubernetes
• Experience with Datadog and New Relic monitoring tools
• Experience with Big Data frameworks (Spark, Hadoop, etc)
• Knowledge of state-of-the-art information security practices
• Experience with remote working

Note: This is a Greece-based remote job (GMT+3) so we won't be able to proceed with candidates living outside Greece at the moment.
