Senior Project Lead (12 month contract) Job

Purpose Statement

Project Lead will be responsible for the top-level leadership of projects and related work stream activities for medical device products within Boston Scientific’s portfolio of products. The projects are focused on updating deliverables and documentation to demonstrate compliance to the European Medical Device Regulation. Multiple projects for similar products will be handled simultaneously by the project lead with cross-functional team members from R&D, Design Assurance, Packaging, Regulatory, and Operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with cross functional resources for assigned project activities and form teams to complete the activities
• Lead, coach, and help diverse and dispersed project team members help each other to execute toward a common goal
• Drive results by acting with speed, agility, and adaptability, assigning clear authority and accountability while integrating and aligning efforts across units and functions
• Monitor progress against objectives, while ensuring policies and practices are followed and accurate documentation is kept
• Delegate and manage tasks among team members as appropriate to their skill level and risk to the project
• Monitor and control execution of project plans
• Identify, communicate, and manage technical and business risks
• Resolve conflicts with team members and involve functional management as required to ensure timely project completion
• Timely communication with all relevant functions and levels of the organization, including presentations to upper management

Basic Qualifications:

• 4+ years of relevant project management experience in R&D or Operations either leading projects or as a team member leading significant segments of projects
• 4-year Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in engineering
• Strong organization and execution skills required, as well as a demonstrated ability to confidently handle full responsibility for project completion

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in both pre-launch and post launch product support activities preferred, with the most emphasis placed on post launch work. Broad product knowledge across multiple franchises is preferred over individual product expertise
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and a deep understanding of internal SOPs is a plus
• PMP certification a plus.

• Assures that appropriate resources (personnel, tools, etc.) are maintained in order to assure Quality System compliance and adherence to the BSC Quality Policy.
• Establishes and promotes a work environment that supports the Quality Policy and Quality System.
