More info here . The next phase of growth for the Stacks ecosystem focuses on engagement across across a global network of developers, users, cryptocurrency miners, investors, and other partners. The Asia region, especially China, has the potential to be one of our most valuable communities. We’re seeking an experienced, well-connected leader with expertise in developing go-to-market strategies for community-focused tech companies in China. This critical role will own Blockstack PBC’s presence in the area and have a significant impact the Stacks ecosystem in the coming years by creating and growing the Stacks community in China. The role is ideal for a leader with exquisite relationship building skills, business development experience,a sharp strategic mindset, an entrepreneurial spirit, and a passion for a user-owned internet powered by Bitcoin.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead business development and partnership strategy, including managing all key business relationships
• Own the goal setting processes for the region, including working with Growth and Product teams to set a go-to-market strategy for China
• Lead creation of a community growth and engagement strategy that results in a productive base of developers, miners, and Stackers
• Create the conditions that will increase Stacks awareness and adoption in the region
• Represent and present Blockstack at events in the region, embodying our mission and values
• Oversee the generation and distribution of content to serve and continuously engage communities.
• Organize and lead major regional Blockstack community events, leading a team of community partners
• Facilitate negotiations between Blockstack PBC and partners in Asia
• Collaborate and share information cross-functionally with internal team at Blockstack including engineering, product management, growth, executive leadership,recruiting and legal
• Build a high-quality team to support operations and expansion

We're Looking For:

• 2-5 years experience in blockchain industry, deep rooted connections within China cryptocurrency and blockchain ecosystem, preferably in developer communities
• 5-7 years proven BD and partnership experience, closing deals upward of $500k with global customers and partners
• Experience and familiarity working with local media and influencers
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills in English and Mandarin. Experience hosting events, product demos, keynote speaking
• Based locally in Greater China, with at least 2-5 years experience working in the area
• High levels of emotional intelligence, intellectual curiosity, professionalism, resourcefulness and dynamic energy
• Experience and success in remote working culture - the majority of your teammates are in the US and Europe
• Value transparency and accuracy, we work in a highly regulated industry which requires accuracy over speed
• Adaptable, operate well with uncertainty
