This position is eligible for a $3000 sign on bonus!

Hours: Full Time; Monday - Friday; 8:00am to 5:00pm

Location: The Polyclinic Northgate Plaza

Support ophthalmology provider by insuring quality patient care and optimal customer service and assist in the care, treatment and education of ophthalmic patients.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Obtain initial patient assessment by recording pertinent medical history and charts procedures for medical records.
2. Performs and records visual acuities, color vision, stereopsis test, auto refractometer readings and blood pressure as directed by physician.
3. Coordinate physician activities and facilitate patient and paper flow in the office.
4. Greet patients, handles questions during visits, triages phone calls and schedule appointments
5. Administers medications under physician direction.
6. Under physician direction assist with treatments and minor surgical procedures as needed.
7. Maintain medical records.
8. Complete patient billing. Complete and track referrals.
9. Work as a team member within Ophthalmology and with all other Polyclinic departments.
10. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Requires a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent, and one year of experience in an eye care setting. MA certification and experience desirable. COA and CPR certification preferred.
