Program Analyst, Patient Services

Job Description

The Program Analyst balances soft skills like industry knowledge, communication, analytical thinking and problem solving with hard skills like programming, data modeling and statistical understanding. You will implement new data analysis methodologies that inform business decisions to improve program performance. Your analysis and problem solving will help craft the vision and strategy of the Patient Services team. The Program Analyst will report to the Senior Manager, Patient Services.

As a Program Analyst, you will play an important role in representing the status of the program to the senior leadership team. You will use data visualization along with strong communication skills to clearly articulate the story behind the data through executive summaries. You will work with multiple stakeholders to understand the current and future state of the program. You will work closely with finance to evaluate program performance compared to forecast and budget alongside the data analytics team. A large focus of this role will include the operational analysis of the Patient Service’s Programs.

• Create and present executive summaries representing current and forecasted performance of Patient Service’s Programs
• Help establish Patient Service’s strategy to meet business goals
• Collaborate on creating program forecasts through statistical modeling alongside the data analytics team
• Determine and evaluate health metrics for program performance
• Participate in problem solving to improve program performance
• Create data visualizations to simply monitor and represent program performance
• Maintain a deep understanding of the Patient Services program workflows
• Develop policies and procedures for the collection and analysis of data (requirements gathering)
• Quantify risks and opportunities that guide business decisions
• Maintain stakeholder relationships across teams to encourage collaboration

About You

• BA/BS in analytics, mathematics, economics, finance, statistics, operations research, or related quantitative social/physical science
• 3+ years previous analytics experience required
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Expertise with data visualization tools to convey actionable insights to product managers and business leaders; Tableau preferred
• Ability to analyze complex sets of data.
• Previous Experience forecasting through statistical models such as Monte Carlo Simulations
• Proficiency in SQL as a data wrangling tool, including ability to write optimized SQL queries for integration with other applications
• You have an open mind and are driven to research the full scope of situations to find the best solution for problems at hand.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
