We are a high energy tech company and we’re seeking an enterprising individual to join our growing team as a Senior Quality Engineer. The Senior Quality Engineer will define testing strategy, facilitate manual testing, report on the success of new features and updates to the BetterCloud platform, and advocate for users. The Senior Engineer will have an eye toward user experience, risk identification, and mitigation and experimentation.

We want to meet you if you are inquisitive, can work autonomously, have experience working at a web or mobile SAAS company, and have collaborated cross-functionally.

About You

• Have 3-5 years Quality Assurance experience.
• Have 1-3 years of experience working in an Agile environment.
• Are familiar with web technologies (Java, HTML, CSS, etc.)
• Are comfortable and excited to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Would describe yourself as Intelligent, energetic, and hardworking individual.
• Analyze stack traces and application logs.
• Are knowledgeable and comfortable with common test methodologies (ATDD, Exploratory, White/Black Box, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the following is a plus: Bitbucket/Stash/Github, Web Services, Postman, and different test case management tools.
• Prior hands on release management experience with tools such as Jenkins or Bitbucket to deliver work from test environment to production.
• Experience leveraging automated testing to deploy software.
• Working knowledge of SQL.

What You’ll Do

• Gain and maintain a strong understanding of BetterCloud’s users and how they use our application.
• Define test strategies based on an understanding of user personas and goals.
• Work with engineers, designers, researchers, and other cross-functional team members to solve customer problems, and rally around KPIs.
• Work within an agile framework.
• Work with Test Engineers to create an automated testing strategy.
• Mentor more junior team members.
• Collaborate with members of the QA team to define and refine processes.
