We are looking for an entrepreneurial, analytical thinker to join our FP&A team. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, someone who seeks out imperfections, and works to solve them through analytics and efficiently organizing cross functional groups. This role will work closely with and interact with every functional group within the organization.

You will be an integral part of a team who is data obsessed and proactively identifies operational improvements to support our companies rapid growth (100 to 400+ employees in a < 3 year period). This will include: drawing critical insights and trends by parsing through data sets, being a business partner to various teams in the company to support their key initiatives from a finance / data / operational perspective, as well as contributing to the budget and capital planning processes.

A key trait to be successful in this role is your ability to work autonomously. For us that means you can self-identify problems, independently devise solutions, and work internally to present findings / recommendations in a concise manner, then execute on those recommendations.

About You

• 2+ years of relevant, applied experience in finance/accounting, operations, strategy, consulting, or banking roles
• Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills with a strong understanding of model architecture, formula efficiency, and pivot tables
• Solid grasp of the 3 financial statements, with a high aptitude and enthusiasm for problem-solving through quantitative modeling and analysis
• Prior experience with SQL/BigQuery and BI/data visualization tools (Tableau) is a plus but not required; you will learn and apply these skills on the job
• Self-starter who is proactive, intellectually curious, and not afraid to seek out projects independently
• Structured thinker with the ability to frame and reason through complex business problems, sometimes in the face of ambiguity or imperfect information
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as a collaborative mindset and approach to work

What You'll Do

• Help build and maintain detailed and dynamic financial models that are powered by big data to inform quarterly forecasts, budgeting/planning across the P&L, investment evaluation and prioritization, and commercial decision-making
• Support senior staff in partnering with business, product/engineering, and support teams to track business performance, exercise expenditure and investment controls, and identify risks and opportunities to our financial outlook
• Deliver on operational and analytical processes connected to each accounting period close, including accruals, variance analysis, management reporting, and/or model recalibrations as necessary
• Use your communication and storytelling skills to frame and translate the outputs of your financial analysis into impactful insights and compelling recommendations
