The opportunity

Position: Senior Facilities Manager

Reports to: Regional Facilities Manager

Location: London

The Opportunity

Local responsibility of all Facilities related tasks within JET’s high profile and technically complex locations. Provide strategic direction to the FM team and elevate the FM presence across the JET business.

Work with the Regional FM to support the continued growth and outreach of the global FM team using processes and methods that are standard FM best practices.

Manage a team to deliver services to the more complex locations within JET whilst simultaneously being able to work within an operational capacity when required to do so.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be the FM leader within JET’s key assets: including but not limited to - technically complex environments, large footprint sites, HQ or similar locations
  • Prepare and advise on regional improvement possibilities
  • Drive operational and strategic excellence at the relevant location and work with the Regional FM to support this across the wider business
  • Present ideas to cooperate more efficiently between different people and teams in different countries.
  • Cooperate in multi-country project initiatives
  • Advise and challenge regional manager on future-steps
  • Suggest and innovate on new ways of working within the FM arena: CAFM systems, BEMS, workplace solutions (hybrid, lean working etc)
  • Contribute to policy development for facilities management, and suggest and implement improvements to related processes and tools
  • Work with Regional FM and other key stakeholders (Procurement, Legal etc) in negotiations with suppliers
  • Work with FM on day-to-day contract management for office-related contracts
  • Conduct QBR’s etc with our supply chain partners to ensure SLA’s are being met and KPI targets are reached, take action as applicable
  • Lead the local facilities team(s) actively work to support regional FM peers
  • Support all team members in personal development
  • Full accountability for all FM related tasks within your location / remit
  • Design and implementation of corporate facilities procedures in the local office with a view
  • Overall budget accountability within location / remit, work with FM management team on regional budget roll up and reporting
  • Leads in coordination of housing and construction works within the office working in collaboration with the FM if applicable
  • H&S accountability
  • Organize and coordinate internal events & initiatives - Ex : offsite events, onboarding meetup, JET Academy, parties, conferences, celebrations, internal award in the absence of a FM
  • Create a stimulating and friendly work environment - Ex : internal survey coordination, co-development workshops, well-being activities in the absence of a FM

Required skills and experience

  • Relevant Health & Safety accreditations - IOSH or NEBOSH qualified advantageous
  • Member of or working towards / desire to obtain RICS, IWFM or similar advantageous
  • Broad knowledge of FM areas: M&E, HVAC, workplace design, CAFM, statutory compliance (L8, fire and life safety etc)
  • Proven experience in leading an office management/facilities team in a highly complex environment
  • Relevant operational and strategic experience within Facility management
  • Flexibility to be able to work in both operational and strategic pillars is essential
  • Capability to think up to +12 months ahead is required
  • Design, creation and implementation of FM processes and services e.g. hard services tender package
  • Understanding of working at leading global brands advantageous
