Job Description: Function as a senior software engineer within the Schwab Asset Management Solutions team, supporting architecture and design efforts, while implementing plans as part of project delivery. Maintain understanding of latest software theory and algorithms, computational theory and practices, software engineering lifecycle/design, database design and data storage, network security and architecture, operating systems and ethical programming. Implement applications using higher level framework facilities like Asynchronous programming, LINQ, threads, parallel processing, concurrency and security. Develop web services for in-house built cloud applications using multiple protocols and coding practices that support multiple serialization (XML, Protocol buffers and JSON). Design and implement REST style web services across multiple Web API platforms, leveraging Model View Control design patterns where possible. Utilize instancing and throttling model for implementation and hosting. Implement integration solutions using messaging technologies including IBM MQ, Rabbit MQ and MSMQ. Maintain strong coding skills in C#, ASP.Net, ADO.Net, and R to build applications and web services. Work directly with Schwab users to design user interfaces using client-side languages, technologies and frameworks like Javascript, JQuery, Angular 4/6, Ajax (any tool kit), HTML 5/ XML, CSS. Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, creating tables and stored procedures, SQL Agent jobs. Maintain organizational data using expertise in shell scripting and python programming to bulk load data into database and also connecting to web services. Design and develop enterprise scale data extraction, transformation, and load procedures using tools such as Microsoft SSIS and Informatica.

What you have


Requirements: Requirements: Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or related field and 5 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
Experience and/or education must include:

  1. Background and understanding of software theory and algorithms, computational theory and practice, software engineering lifecycle/design, database design and data storage, and architecture, operating systems and ethical programming
  2. Higher level framework facilities like asynchronous programming, threads, parallel processing & concurrency and security
  3. Multiple serialization (XML/INFOSET/JSON/PROTOCOL BUFFERS) and encoding practices
  4. Developing REST style web services across web API platforms with or without MVC design & instancing and throttling model for implementation and hosting
  5. Messaging technologies like IBMMQ and Rabbit MQ
  6. Javascript, JQuery, Angular 4/6, AJAX any toolkit, HTML 3/5 and XML
  7. Writing SQL queries, T-SQL stored procedures, views, cursors, triggers for database development and Informatica for ETL processing
