Senior Technical Product Owner

Equifax is seeking a Senior Product Owner who is a master at bridging the desires of the customer and the capabilities of the technology, removing barriers to software development. You will be responsible for grooming the product backlog and have insight into technical requirements of individual stories thus creating a more efficient user experience.

You will partner with business leaders to elicit, understand, analyze, document, refine and communicate business needs, so that business and/or technical delivery teams can build effective solutions. This requires a deep understanding of customer needs, as well as business vision and strategy, to prioritize investment, business value, and delivery. Whether you started from the product side and developed technical skills or started as a technical resource, you have a knack for the product side of the business.

What you’ll do

• As technical hands on Senior Product Owner you will work within our UK Product Tribe delivering CRA Products for our clients
• You will serve as the conduit between user needs, technical capabilities, and engineering requirements, developing these into roadmaps and requirements for the Agile backlog of development teams
• You will lead the refinement of features and user stories to ensure delivery teams are prepared to meet sprint deadlines
• You will work with others on a day-to-day basis to help make decisions on what is in scope and provide input into functional decisions
• You will have daily interaction with the teams building the products including teams in the US and India
• You will coordinate with business customers and their project managers to ensure successful delivery
• Provide demonstrations and support to clients
• Mentor and Support other Product Owners within the Tribe

What experience you need

• Strong experience as a Senior Product Owner within an agile environment
• Strong understanding of product requirements and business analysis
• Intermediate technical understanding within a Agile Product Development Lifecycle from inception to production
• Intermediate stakeholder management to lead and ensure delivery
• Good experience of managing multiple small/medium sized projects
• Ability to work in a team with minimal supervision
• Flexibility to manage time zone difference with international teams
