About the Role

Kustomer is looking for a Senior Front End Engineer who is passionate about Design Systems and building high quality user experiences. We believe in ownership and are looking for people driven to great tools for our developers and polished experiences for our end users.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Maintaining Kanvas, the Kustomer design system
  • Working with product and design to creatively solve complex problems
  • Driving conversations for conceptualizing new components and solutions
  • Owning pushing the team towards the best working practices in the Design System community
  • Contributing to the growth of other members of the team
  • May involve handling sensitive personal data

Your qualities:

3-5 years experience working on high performance, complex React applications.

  • HTML/CSS, visual aspects are a high priority and you have an eye for design.
  • Javascript : You’re knowledgeable and up to date with the latest ECMA stages.
  • UX/Product : You sweat the details to deliver a high-quality user experience.
  • React: You think in components and know how to create intuitive reusable components
  • Typescript : you are familiar with the technology and understand its benefits and drawbacks for high complexity systems...
  • Nice to haves:
    • You’ve previously built and maintained a production design system
    • Experience with building for developers and creating great documentation around tools
    • You have experience with other tools we use: Storybook, webpack, Babel, ESLint, Prettier, Jest, and Chromatic
    • Experience with continuous deployment
