Job Description

At Cogo Labs, we build startup companies from scratch. We are a collaborative team of Engineers, Analysts, and Entrepreneurs using innovative tools, big data, and intellectual curiosity to build a platform that spins up successful online businesses, fast.

As an Venture Partner, you will lead the start-up process for new businesses from concept to launch. You will guide research and planning of the business in conjunction with Cogo researchers, defining the launch and growth strategy. You will launch the business by assembling and managing a team to execute the business plan and get it off the ground. Post-launch, you will iterate quickly on refining the business until it’s ready to scale.

This role is highly collaborative with Cogo executive staff, research, engineering, business development, and operations. Your responsibility is to bring the best data and expertise into a new business idea and steer it to success.

• You are a strategic planner, working backwards from a long-term vision to develop a multi-dimensional plan to get there,
• You can turn complex analysis into action, working as a team player with our operational teams,
• You are a strong collaborative communicator and can convey complex ideas concisely to all audiences,
• You can lead teams through as they execute from concept to launch. You are unafraid to make strategic decisions that determine the success of the plan,
• You are operationally excellent, supervising operational teams as they progress through a business plan and ensure goals are met,
• You dive deep into subject matter and become fluent in your domain,
• You are comfortable with data, analysis, and technology. You are a thought leader and operational leader in your area of specialty.
