Your Mission

Together with the Enterprise, Builder, and Onboarding squad, Applications Engineering helps acquire, activate, retain and expand the customer base at Tray and get them to utilise the platform to its full potential, providing them with the most rewarding solutions for their needs and transforming them into high-value users.

You will work as part of a friendly, cross-discipline agile team who help each other solve problems on both the server and client sides. As a team, we invest in ensuring quality and continuous delivery. Test Automation and Monitoring allow us to deliver more often and confidently.

You will have the opportunity to work on the Tray platform itself, which is a large scale React application that our customers use to build and maintain their workflows.

What you will do

• Work closely with other engineers and product and business teams to deliver products that are high quality and loved by our customers.
• Work closely with the Product Design team to deliver a user experience that is accessible, consistent, and enjoyable.
• Build prototypes and build iterative features from the ground up
• Lead technical and product discussions to ensure a safe but pragmatic engineering approach to customer problems

Recent projects our engineers have worked on, for example:

• Updating In-App Information Architecture/Navigation to support the move to a unified account and allow users to quickly understand key Tray concepts
• Streamlining the end-of-trial experience in-app and using it to qualify leads for sales further.
• Moving away from a weekly deployment cycle to CI/CD pipelines that support one-click deployments

About You

• Strong frontend engineering skills with experience working on React, JavaScript applications, and large-scale codebases
• Good knowledge and demonstrable experience with CI/CD pipelines (we use GitHub Actions)
• Experience with writing and owning test automation for the frontend (we use Jest, Playwright for E2E testing)
• Experience working with agile methodology and a good understanding of the benefits of doing so
• Experience working with multiple stakeholders (design, product, internal customers) to iterate toward ideas
