Whether it’s our personalized daily vitamin packs and powders through our direct-to-consumer business, or our multivitamins and blends with our retail partner Target, our products are backed by science and include a combination of highly-researched nutrients and traditionally used herbs. By providing honest guidance and better ingredients, we aim to help people feel empowered to make the right choices for their health.

Since our launch in 2016, we have raised capital from top investors including Goldman Sachs Investment Partners, Goodwater Capital, Tusk Ventures, RRE Capital, Juxtapose, and Bayer. In late 2020, Bayer secured additional investment in Care/of giving it majority ownership. By joining forces with Bayer, we are able to expand our ability to connect directly with new and existing customers and elevate our unwavering commitment to science-backed guidance, quality ingredients, and sustainable practices.

What you’ll do:

As the Manager, PR & Partnerships on the Brand Team, you have a crucial role as we strive to make Care/of top of mind for consumers and lead conversations in the health and wellness space. You will be responsible for driving our top-of-funnel brand awareness through thoughtful storytelling, securing press coverage (both traditional and new media such as social takeovers, podcast bookings, and events), and driving forward brand activations and organic partnerships that get people excited about our brand. You’ll partner closely with the Brand and Growth marketing teams, as well as build and maintain close relationships with company leadership.

  • Press
    • Come with a test-and-learn mindset, experimenting with non-traditional media channels including events, social takeovers, podcast bookings, and more
    • Manage all press for Care/of, including outbound pitching and inbound requests
    • Collaborate with Senior Copywriter to craft press releases, press kits, media materials, op-eds, and more
    • Build and maintain relationships with key media partners
    • Manage awards for Care/of, submitting the brand and leadership for relevant opportunities
    • Develop framework to measure success of press and partnerships efforts
  • Thought leadership
    • Own speaking opportunities for Care/of and brand leadership, including booking, prep, and support such as providing or secure ongoing media training for company leadership
    • Sharpen Care/of’s thought leadership function, driving conversations from key brand representatives
  • Awareness & Buzz
    • Dream up and manage organic partnerships that expand our presence and relevance, offer our customers value, create spaces of inclusion and diversity, and delight our followers, working with brand team to execute
    • Ideate thoughtful brand moments, including activations and experiential marketing, that can secure press coverage, working with brand team to execute
    • Contribute to brand campaign work and brand projects to offer angles that will be exciting to media partners

Where you'll be:

We are encouraging employees (whose job responsibilities allow) to work remotely with the option of returning to the office. We are committed to prioritizing workspace flexibility by building systems to create an inclusive and productive environment in which employees feel most comfortable working (role permitting).

This role will require you to be based in the NYC metropolitan area. You will be expected to come into our New York City office at least once a month, and you are welcome to go in as often as you would like.

Who you are:

A thoughtful, experienced communications professional with a pulse on the latest trends and conversations, a strong existing portfolio of contacts and relationships, and a love for working cross-functionally and closely with other teams and individuals.

  • 4+ years experience in PR and/or partnerships
  • An exceptional communicator with experiencing pitching and securing press coverage and/or major partnerships
  • A true love of brand storytelling and an ability to see past traditional product launch press releases
  • An entrepreneurial, experimental mindset with the courage to try innovative, new approaches to drive buzz
  • Deeply familiar with best practices on PR and always learning about new outlets and media partners
  • Highly organized with proven ability to juggle tasks
