About the role:

As a DevOps Engineer, you will work closely with our Trading, Development, Machine Learning, IT Infrastructure, and Operations teams daily. You will help design, automate and improve our application deployment processes, make refinements to our cloud infrastructure and improve the monitoring, alerting and reliability of our trading systems.

What you’ll do:

• Provision, configure, optimize, and monitor technologies such as Kubernetes, Spark, Kafka, and large-scale distributed databases
• Automate infrastructure management and development pipelines with tools like Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, and Cloud Formation
• Explore new technologies in the cloud-native/container ecosystem
• Manage a globally distributed hybrid-cloud infrastructure
• Work with Systems Engineering and Development to monitor systems, clusters and cloud deployments to detect errors and monitor performance
• Adhere to the engineering approach of creating and maintaining supportable production systems with performance and capacity in mind
• Work with Development teams to automate container-based deployment pipelines and CI Systems

What you’ll bring:

• Experience writing and maintaining Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code
• Experience managing cloud infrastructure at scale, preferably in AWS
• Experience running containerised workloads on Kubernetes, preferably on EKS, GitOps is a plus
• Experience configuring and maintaining monitoring and logging systems
• A test-driven attitude. We want somebody that has a natural tendency to test, validate and communicate their assumptions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
