Platform Software Engineer - CI/CD

Job Description

At Zoox, we're developing cutting-edge autonomous vehicle software for our purpose-built robotaxi. We believe our integrated approach leads to faster market delivery and superior customer experience. As a CI/CD Platform Engineer, you'll design and implement scalable solutions that enhance our end-to-end development and release lifecycle. Your work will be crucial in empowering our engineers to rapidly develop and deliver safety-critical autonomous vehicle software and services. This role directly impacts our ability to maintain high development velocity while ensuring the quality and safety of our autonomous vehicle software.

In this role, you will:

• Build innovative solutions for large-scale quality, reliability, and safety checks for autonomous software, web applications, and mobile apps using Bazel, modern CI/CD systems in a monorepo
• Develop features, tools, and dashboards to measure and improve the reliability and speed of software delivery processes and eliminate development inefficiencies and bottlenecks

Responsibilities:

• Build a seamless CI/CD experience that enhances developer workflows.
• Implement metrics to measure platform effectiveness and developer experience.
• Collaborate with other software teams to address pain points and enhance productivity.

Qualifications:

• Experience developing web services using modern technology stacks (Python, Postgres, etc.)
• Understanding of containerization, microservices, and distributed systems
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Bonus Qualifications:

• Experience with developer productivity tools and CI/CD platforms (such as Jenkins, Buildkite, ArgoCD)
• Experience working with large monorepo environments
• Experience in Bazel, SQLAlchemy, and FastAPI

Compensation There are three major components to compensation for this position: salary, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. The salary range for this position is $130,000 to $207,000. A sign-on bonus may be offered as part of the compensation package. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level. Leveling, as well as positioning within a level, is determined by a range of factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate's relevant years of experience, domain knowledge, and interview performance. The salary range listed in this posting is representative of the range of levels Zoox is considering for this position.
