The Lead Accountant for the Fixed Assets team will be responsible for Property, Plant, and Equipment (PP&E) reporting, ensuring compliance with internal and external requirements. This role involves preparing and reviewing manual journal entries, managing account balance reconciliations, overseeing the depreciation process, and supporting internal and external audits. The ideal candidate will also contribute to special projects as needed.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and/or review manual journal entries and manage account balance reconciliations.
  • Oversee the group depreciation process for fixed assets.
  • Prepare and/or review PP&E reporting for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant standards.
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing and reviewing necessary documentation and reports.
  • Manage records of assets, liabilities, and other financial transactions related to fixed assets.
  • Analyze and interpret financial reports and records, providing insights and recommendations to managers.
  • Contribute to special projects as required, leveraging accounting expertise to drive successful outcomes.

Job Contribution:

  • Work on complex problems that require in-depth analysis of various factors.
  • Exercise judgment within broadly defined practices and policies to select methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
  • Resolve issues and provide solutions to complex accounting challenges.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting is preferred.
  • CPA certification is strongly preferred.

Experience:

  • Typically requires 5-7 years of accounting experience, with a focus on fixed assets and PP&E reporting.

Supervisory:

  • No direct supervisory responsibilities.

Our Lead Accountant, earn between $106,100 - $178,200 of TSR. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
