Introduction to Role:

Join AstraZeneca as a Senior Safety Data Sheet Specialist, where you will play a crucial role in supporting the hazard communication of AstraZeneca materials. This position is vital to our mission of delivering life-changing medicines to patients worldwide.

As part of the SDS Team, you will collaborate with colleagues globally to provide technical expertise in the production of Safety Data Sheets, ensuring accurate hazard classification and communication.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Production and management of Safety Data Sheets for AstraZeneca, ensuring compliance with local, national and regional regulations
  • Collaborate with AstraZeneca experts worldwide to obtain the information required for accurate hazard assessments
  • Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams on complex regulatory queries
  • Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement in hazard communication practices

Essential Skills/Experience:

Degree in a science-related discipline, or equivalent experience

Extensive expertise in Global Chemical Regulations, particularly CLP or GHS

Proven experience in the creation of Safety Data Sheets

Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders

Strong project and people management skills, with experience leading cross-functional initiatives

Desirable:

Experience in SAP EH&S authoring platform

Previous experience in the pharmaceutical industry

Experience and understanding of the Dangerous Goods regulations
