In this role, you will be responsible for managing and ensuring compliance with all global import and export regulations throughout the supply chain. You will classify products using HTS and Canadian HS codes, determine countries of origin, and identify opportunities under free trade agreements. This position also involves ensuring products meet U.S. regulatory and safety standards and communicating these requirements to various departments. You'll collaborate closely with customs brokers, government agencies, and internal stakeholders to resolve issues and maintain efficient trade operations. Your work directly impacts the company’s ability to operate legally, efficiently, and competitively on a global scale.

How you will achieve success:

    • Oversee global import and export compliance processes to ensure product flow aligns with international trade regulations and required documentation is accurate and complete.
    • Manage the classification of products using HTS and Canadian HS codes, including creating automation rules and obtaining necessary details from vendors.
    • Determine country of origin and identify opportunities to leverage free trade agreements to optimize cost and compliance.
    • Ensure compliance with U.S. regulatory requirements, including consumer product safety standards, and effectively communicate requirements to internal stakeholders.
    • Collaborate with U.S. Customs, government agencies, and customs brokers to streamline import processes and resolve compliance issues.

What experiences will help you in this role:

    • 0–5+ years of experience in international trade, import/export compliance, and tariff regulations.
    • Demonstrated interest in roles focused on global trade compliance and regulatory strategy.
    • Passion for building and scaling internal trade compliance processes across growing organizations.
    • Familiarity with international trade laws, customs procedures, and documentation requirements.
    • Willingness to pursue a U.S. Customs Broker License to deepen compliance expertise.
$70,000 - $85,000 a year Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $70,000/year to $85,000/year. Pay is based on a number of factors including geographic market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Spreetail is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
