As a People Operations Manager, you will be joining the People Operations team, which consists of 12 members (including 5 responsible for our French market). Your primary goal is to contribute to Qonto's success by delivering an exceptional employee experience to all our Qonto team members. You will report to Elise , our Lead People Operations. As a member of the People Operations France team, you will be deeply involved in the day-to-day HR matters of our Qonto team members in France, working closely with other People Operations Managers in the team and Jeannie, our Payroll Manager. Your role involves managing HR-related matters and becoming a strong partner for the entire team by: • Being the main point of contact for a specific scope, addressing daily queries from Qontoers, managers, and providers. • Serving as the reference person for HR-related topics, including Onboarding/Offboarding, Payroll, Legal, HR policies and processes, HRIS, and more. Please note that this opportunity is based in France and is not available for full remote work. According to our remote policy, you can work remotely for up to 2 days a week, but we expect you to be on-site in Paris for at least 3 days a week. 👩‍💻🧑‍💻 As a People Operations Manager at Qonto, you will contribute to: Daily Operations: As the primary point of contact for Qonto employees and managers, your role is to ensure a seamless onboarding and offboarding process for employees. You will also address day-to-day HR queries, ensuring compliance with HR rules and standards. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate people data in our newly implemented HRIS, Workday. • Payroll and data : While you won't have direct responsibility for payroll processing, you will be in charge of data management within your specific scope. This entails preparing payroll runs for your designated area with the support of our Payroll Manager, Jeannie, and our HRIS team. • HR Policies and Processes: Within the People team, you will serve as the go-to expert for human resources policies, procedures, and contracts. You will also be responsible for maintaining them and making them evolve according to the regulation or our ways of working. • HR projects : Your contribution to the People team will involve enhancing our working methods and HR policies to provide an exceptional employee experience. This may include overseeing HR cycles, such as Progress reviews or supporting the best practices of the team regarding our HRIS. • Impulse championship on any HR lifecycle topics of employees by partnering with an amazing team and being a referent on your perimeter 🤝 About your future manager Her background? You will directly report to Elise , our Lead People Operations in France. She has several experiences in different start/scale-ups as Payroll Manager and People Operations Expert in the French market but also in different European Markets. Elise joined Qonto 6 years ago and is leading the People Operations team based in France. • What does she bring to the team? Elise brings her expertise in HR, legal and payroll topics. She will support you to master your topics and continuously make you grow and learn. 🏅 About You Experience : You have 5+ years of experience as an HR specialist or a similar HR generalist role. • Mastery : You have a good knowledge of HR & legal topics. You are hands-on, willing to handle administrative and operational HR tasks, including contract amendments, absence checks, and salary management. You like working in a fast-paced, scale-up environment with frequent changes and multiple priorities, and you are still rigorous in everything you do. A previous experience on Workday is a plus; if it is not the case, you have to demonstrate a strong readiness and agility to learn Workday. • Teamwork : You are able to build strong relationships with the team based on confidentiality and trust. • Communication : You have outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. You are open and curious to work on various HR projects, including process improvements and new policy implementations. • Languages : You speak both French and English fluently, for effective communication and being able to handle French labor law At Qonto we understand that true diversity isn't just about ticking boxes on a hiring checklist.
