Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Supplier Quality Manager to join the Supplier Quality team in Wichita KS, Minneapolis MN, or Davenport, IA

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages employees performing supplier quality activities to ensure that suppliers' production and quality systems, special processes, products and services meet purchase contract requirements and applicable regulatory agency and government regulations.
  • Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies to improve supplier performance.
  • Provides education and coaching on the Quality System.
  • Acquires and manages resources and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, suppliers and direct reports.
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees.
  • Cohesive partnering / integration with the supply base, key program business partners, and first line leaders.
  • Focus on continuous improvement, the ability to recognize and implement opportunities to bring preventative best practices to the supply base, development of data driven initiatives aimed at reductions of quality related disruptions, and fostering a culture that embraces the Boeing Behaviors are key tenants of the position.

Must be able to manage in a virtual environment. This is an autonomous position, therefore, the candidate must have the ability to work from home or a supplier location. This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined
by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study
  • 5+ years of experience working with quality systems (e.g., Boeing Quality Management System (BQMS), International Organization for Standardization (ISO9001), Aerospace Standard (AS9100))
  • 5+ years of experience working in Quality, Manufacturing, Business Operations, Supplier Quality or Supplier Management
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Products like Outlook, Power Point, Excel, and Word

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Lean Six Sigma Certification
  • Leadership experience in supply chain
  • Experience with systematic problem-solving skills
  • Experience developing/managing metrics and Root Cause Corrective Actions (RCCA)
  • Experience organizing, facilitating virtual meetings and virtual teams

Travel:

This position requires (local) travel up to 50% of the time.

Please note that the pay information shown below is a general guideline only. Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: USD

Wichita, KS: $103,700 - $140,300

Minneapolis, MN: $119,00 - $161,000

Davenport, IA: $111,350 - $150,650
