UI/UX Developer - React (on-site)

Position Description:

This is an exciting time for CGI, and we want you to be part of it. We are Canada's largest independent information technology services firm, and we are still growing! We are expanding in Atlantic Canada, and we need your skills, enthusiasm, and dedication as part of our team. We are seeking an experienced Developer at the level to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in front-end development using React, TypeScript.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of user interfaces for a self-service orchestration platform on AWS.
• Translate complex technical workflows into intuitive, user-friendly experiences.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and end-users to gather requirements and iterate on designs.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups using tools like Figma
• Implement responsive and accessible UI components using modern frameworks (e.g., React, TypeScript).
• Ensure consistency in design language, usability, and branding across the platform.
• Conduct user research and usability testing to validate design decisions.
• Optimize performance and responsiveness of the UI across devices and browsers.
• Stay current with UX/UI trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in UX/UI design and front-end development, preferably in enterprise or financial applications.
• Strong proficiency in React, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and design systems.
• Experience designing for complex workflows, dashboards, and data-driven interfaces.
• Familiarity with AWS services and cloud-native application design.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
