HARBORVIEW MEDICAL CENTER INPATIENT PHARMACY DEPARTMENT is looking for an outstanding
PHARMACY TECHNICIAN 2 to join our Inpatient Pharmacy team!
WORK SCHEDULE • 40 hours per week
• Rotating/Variable Shift
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: • Perform all duties of a Pharmacy Technician I.
• Check medications filled by other pharmacy technicians from Pyxis refill sheets for the entire hospital.
• Maintain knowledge and competency with narcotic vault procedures, processing, and documentation.
• Perform routine controlled substance inventories in all areas where controlled substances are stocked in the inpatient pharmacy as assigned.
• Know and follow all IV room and chemotherapy preparation policies and procedures including USP 800.
• Safe and timely preparation and delivery of intravenous chemotherapy agents and other clinic administered meds.
• Billing duties as assigned.
REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: Six months of experience as a Pharmacy Technician 1 OR equivalent education/experience.
LEGAL REQUIREMENT: State of Washington Pharmacy Technician certification.
