University Marketing & Communications has an exciting opening for a Senior Branding and Marketing Program Manager. This is a full-time permanent position.
What You Will Do:
Project Management (50%)
• Manage multiple high-profile UW brand marketing, communication and development projects with highly collaborative cross-functional teams through all project phases, from initiation and requirements definition through completion and post-project reflection.
• Act as Business Analyst for new projects; define, document and distribute project requirements, working with stakeholders and project teams to bring clarity and direction to ambiguous scope.
• Draft and maintain project artifacts including charters, intake presentations, project plans, meeting notes and debrief documents for projects of all sizes.
• Lead Brand Marketing programs from a project management perspective; manage the timeline and deliverables across all projects, facilitate communication between stakeholders and the project teams, and be the source of truth for all project requirements.
• Effectively articulate and advise on roadblocks, gaps and project needs. Identify issues and risks and provide recommended solutions.
• Collaborate closely with senior leadership team members on goals, scope, and approvals.
• Manage project budget and work within budget constraints to meet project requirements.
Marketing Program Management (45%)
• Establish and execute program management best practices for assigned Brand Marketing programs including steering committee facilitation, dashboard development, project tracking and executive communication.
• Continuously improve project briefs, templates and workflows to increase understanding of strategy goals and streamline projects.
• Represent the Brand Marketing team perspective, collaborate with UMAC leaders to support the establishment, roll-out, and maintenance of project processes across UMAC.
• Support storytelling across UMAC by driving the storytelling dashboard; actively capturing potential stories across all UMAC channels while facilitating leadership discussions on prioritization, status and story amplification.
• Represent UMAC with project teams and leadership for university-wide projects such as the Welcome Center.
Other duties as assigned (5%)
• Perform other duties as assigned by direct supervisor.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
A bachelor’s degree and at least four years experience with a background in project and program management successfully and independently leading multiple concurrent high-profile projects.
Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.
