Harborview - Maintenance has an outstanding opportunity for a Machinery Mechanic .
WORK SCHEDULE
  • 0700-1530 Monday through Friday
  • 100% FTE, Days.
  • No Telework

    PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • This individual will inspect, maintain and repair mechanical facilities.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repair on all types of mechanical equipment.
  • Inspect and test mechanical systems.
  • Operate machine shop equipment including engine laths, drill press, grinder, milling machine, hydraulic press to fabricate equipment parts.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repair on motor vehicles and heavy construction equipment, gas and diesel.
  • Operate a variety of hand tools.
  • Assist faculty with fabrication and operation of experimental equipment and apparatus.
  • Drive service truck as required; load and unload materials and supplies.
  • May lead and instruct helpers.
  • May perform work in other trade skills.
    REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
  • Full journey status as a Machinery Mechanic by work experience, vocational, or trade school, or apprenticeship programs, or any combination of the above; or, four years of applied work experience. Vocational training may substitute for work experience on a year-for-year basis. Possession of a valid motor vehicle operators license may be required.
    Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.
