New Outpatient Surgery Center , for our general surgery care.
SCHEDULE: 100% Mon-Friday (4-10’s/ week)
Day Shift
No holidays, weekends, or nights
The anticipated opening date to patients is January 2026.
Start date for this position will be October 2025.

The UW Medicine Outpatient Surgery Center will provide daytime surgical procedures to the community of patients that meet developed criteria.
ABOUT THE OUTPATIENT SURGERY CENTER
The New Outpatient Surgery Center opening on the Harborview Campus is located on the 4th floor of Ninth and Jefferson Building (NJB) and will open January 2026 to patients. The Surgery Center will feature 5 operating rooms, 12 pre/post bays, and sterile processing. Hours of operation will be Monday through Friday with no holidays, weekends, or night hours. The Center will offer same-day surgery procedures utilizing state-of–the-art equipment to our community of patients that meet the necessary criteria. This reflects the Center’s innovative, patient-centered culture, supporting ongoing operational efficiencies and quality improvements. The goal is to provide a seamless, low-stress surgical experience for each patient, surgeon, and staff member. The unit will provide a soothing environment with natural lighting and patient privacy.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversight of surgical specialty workflows, equipment and supplies
Oversight of quality and patient safety
Assist director with staff feedback and performance measures
Participate in meeting Key Performance Metrics
REQUIRMENTS
Graduated from an accredited school of nursing
Three or more years perioperative experience
Charge nurse experience
Has a WA/MSL RN license to practice in the state of Washington.
