 Fiscal Specialist 2     WORK SCHEDULE    40 hours per week 
   Mondays-Fridays 7:30am-04:00pm 
   Day Shift 
    DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION   Harborview’s Mental Health and Addiction Services (HMHAS) serves as an organizational representative payee for over 100 adults with severe and persistent mental illness, who are required to have a payee manage their SSA benefits and enrolled in services at HMHAS. This position will manage a combination of patient facing services, basic accounting and budgeting functions, as well as coordination of payee supports with patients, their families, their treatment team, HMC accounting staff and the Social Security Administration.   
 PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES    Serve as the coordinator of the representative payee program for clients receiving DSHS, Social Security and/or SSI benefits 
   Work with case managers and clinicians to develop and implement individual client budgets 
   Maintain individual representative payee account records including accounting for all deposits, disbursements, and preparation of financial statements 
   Prepare and submit all client representative payee reports to the Social Security Administration 
   Serve as the system administrator, coordinate software modifications/updates with software vendor 
   Orient/train case managers and clinicians about representative payee procedures and use of the Representative Payee Management software 
   Obtain certification as a Notary Public with support from the department to offer notary services to patients enrolled in services 
    REQUIREMENTS   Three years of experience providing administrative support in the area of fiscal and/or business management 
 Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration   
 DESIRED   Ability to obtain a Certified Peer Counselor Certification or Agency Affiliated Credential through DOH to reports services related to the payee program
